General Information
The tasty legend of Laab was taken to Bangkok by the people of E-san (Northeastern provinces near Mekong River). The blend of exotic herbs and lime juice makes this dish tangy and very refreshing. It is a common that Laab-Namtok is served with steamed sticky rice packed in typical bamboo basket.
Ingredients/Materials
(Roasted Glutinous Rice 43%, Salt 18%, Chilli 11%, Sugar 8%, Food Enhancers (Monosodium Glutamate, disodium 5'ribonucleotide) 8%, Spices (Garlic, Coriander, Lemongrass) 5%, Fish Sauce Powder 3.5%, Acidity Regulator (Citric) 3%, Natural Lime Flavour)
Preparation and Usage
Recipe: Laab/Namtok
1. Prepare 300g. meat (beef, chicken or other meat).
- Grind the meat for Laab.
- Bake or grill the meat for Namtok.
2. Add ¼ cup (60 ml.) water and stir-fry until done, add contents of this packet and mix well.
3. Garnish with shallot, mint leaves and spring onion. Serve with fresh vegetables.
